Cameroonian President Paul Biya began a three-day state visit to Nigeria on Tuesday.
Accompanied by his wife and several government officials, Biya and his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting is expected to come out with far reaching decisions that will go a long way to cement relations between the two countries that share a border.
The two heads of state are expected to talk about the sore thumb plaguing Africa- terrorism, along with violent extremism and cross-border crimes.

According to reports, the two will harmonize their views ahead of the May 14, International Summit, aimed at clamping down Boko Haram’s insurgency
Agreements to strengthen existing economic and trade ties are also expected to be ratified by the two countries.

A previous meeting in Yaounde between Biya and Buhari in 2015 revealed a shared awareness of the fact that security is a veritable springboard to the development of the two nations, the welfare of the population, the respect of human dignity and the fight against poverty.
